Mardi Gras

Grammy let him play with some beads.

I only took him to one parade this year. Rowdy was working so he missed it. I thought he's be very curious to see all the action going on. But, he wasn't too playful and mainly wanted to love the whole time. He did get upset when the floats passed by that were playing music too loud. Also, if the band's drums were too loud.

Flipping

Ok, he didn't start rolling over good till about 8.5 months old. Now, we can't keep him still. Changing a diaper has become a tough task. Especially after a bath, he won't keep still! You can really see his two teeth good in this picture.

10 months Old

He had an appointment and weighed 20 lbs 8 oz and was 28 inches long. That is over 2 pounds gained in a month! Right now he eats 1/4 cup cereal mixed with a stage 2 fruit for breakfast. A stage 2 veggie for lunch. Then a stage 2 fruit and stage 2 meat for supper. He still gets two 4 oz and a 5 oz bottle at daycare (all pumped milk). As for as nursing, I really don't know how many times I nurse him in a day. I don't pump enough at work to match what he takes at daycare. But, I still have a back up supply so it isn't a problem yet. I give him formula sometimes before nursing at night.

Moved in with Nanny

Yep, on 12-29-07 we moved in with Melanie. We had been having problems with sewage for our house since the end of Novenber. We didn't want to keep paying rent and the construction loan. We didn't have any idea how long it would take to get the issues resolved. So, we stopped putting it off and moved in with her. We're still here1.5 months later and still have no idea how much longer it will be. Nanny is great with helping out. She watches him while I pick up his milk. She feeds him while I take a bath. Then she helps me bathe him. Plus she picks him up from daycare. All of this is when Rowdy is not of. He doesn't come here at all for the 7 days/nights he works. If is too far to travel and wouldn't be worth it.

So, How did Colby adjust to all of this?? It was really rough. First he for RSV. Then we moved here. Then he got 2 teeth. His sleeping habits got really bad! But, I can understand why. He went through a really bad time where I couldn't leave the room without him screaming.

Here's the first tooth coming out at about 9.5 months old. He also started sitting up good on his own at that age. The 2nd tooth came out about a week later.

He started rocking on all fours and scooting to where he wants to go. We realized that he has to really want something for him to put forth the effort at first. Gerber puffs and Cherios are definatly the things to do that. He always manages to get off the big blanket we put down in the living room. He loves to find fuzz balls or any other little thing like that. He also slides backwards. That's where these pictures come in.
