Pics his Nanny took

His nanny babysat him while I went get my hair done.

No, this is not a posed image or photo shopped. No one even knew she caught this until the next day when we uploaded it to the computer.

Later on she was playing with him. She went to the bathroom. When she came back, this is what she found. Him sleeping still holding the rattle.

It's been awhile

I guess I need to catch up on things. On 6-14 I started having major sinus problems. At the same time, Colby started waking up twice night. I'd say about every 2 hours. He had only been waking up once. Then he started waking up every 2 hours. Not good with me having what I believe to be a sinus infection. I can't take much for it since I'm breastfeeding. People kept telling me to start him on cereal. Dr. Brooke said I could start that at 3 months. Well, Sunday, I decided to see if his gums were swollen. I thought he might be teething because of the hands always in the mouth and the sleeping issues. Well, I went to check before feeding him and he had a fit. I finally calmed him down after walking with him. After I nursed him I tried to check again. This time he let me. I found something white and hard. But, I couldn't believe it could be a tooth. I asked his sitter the next morning and she confirmed it was. Not only was he teething but, he had a tooth. The one on the side looked to be fixing to come out. I really had no tclue about this because he never complained about it. He's been really happy! I tried to get a picture of it. But, you really can't see it.We did try to give him cereal with a spoon. But, it is so watery, it just comes right back out. So, we tried to put it in a bottle. Get this...he will not take a bottle from me or Rowdy. I didn't think it would be a problem anymore since he takes it from daycare with no problems. I wanted to go out tonight with Melanie. Nope, Rowdy won't be able to feed him. We tried for about a week. So, fine, forget the cereal thing to help him sleep better. It's probably the teeth keeping him up anyway. We can just wait till he can take it with a spoon. But, being sick and waking up so often then going to work was exhausting. Rowdy would like to give me a much needed break. I think I'm finally starting to feel better today. But, he woke up every 2 hours again last night.

New pics

He likes his mobile that paran got him.

This is the first time he fell asleep on his play mat. We didn't even notice for awhile. I was at the computer and walked away. I looked and asked Rowdy if he was sleeping because he wasn't moving like normal. We looked and sure enough, he was asleep. He must have been really tired because he usually needs to be rocked.
His precious moments hooded towel.

His muscle shirt that cousin Josh used to wear. We were off to NeNe's house.

He fell asleep with his arms crossed after eating. I told rowdy to take a pic because he looked like a rapper. But, it could also be an arms crossed mad position.
He loves to eat his hands and fingers.

Hummm, I think I want to eat my fingers...
Open wide...
Almost there...
I got them...

Lil Tiger

I put him in his LSU outfit the other day. The socks kept coming off.

He found his thumb again. He loves to lick and have his hand in his face. He rarely gets it in his mouth though. He just licks. Seriously, he is always licking and slobering all over his face. Even right after I feed him. The hands go to the mouth. I try to feed him more but he just licks that too.

Daycare

Well, I went back to work on Wednesday. I cried before I left, on the way there and on my way to work. People kept asking about him. I told them I didn't want to talk too much about him because I'd miss him more. I'm not ready to put pictures of him at my desk yet either. I did not call the sitter to check on him. I didn't want to call and hear him crying. I was so worried that he would give her a hard time and she'd have to let him cry. So, I called her on my way there. If he was almost ready to eat, I wanted her to hold off so I could nurse him. She told me he was sleeping. When I got there, she said he was very good. I had fed him at 5:30. He ate again at 7:30, 10:30 and 1:30. He took about an hour nap between feedings. She just had to rock him a little bit and he fell asleep. She put him down and he looked at her and went back to sleep. He took 4 oz at a time. She had to feed him in another room. He would get distracted by the other kids. The next 2 days, he kept the same schedule. Those days weren't as bad because I knew he was OK the first day. She thought he was sleeping when I picked him up Friday. She went in the room and he was just playing. I hope it keeps up. He barely even cried after I got him home. I got out the shower and he was being good for Rowdy. I can't remember the last time that happened.

He has only been waking up once at night. He goes down between 8:45 and 9:45. Wakes up between 1:00 and 3:00. I stopped writing it down so I'm not sure. But, he goes back to bed after. Then again between 4:45 and 5:15. I actually woke him up Friday so I could feed him at 5:30 before I dropped him off. I think Thursday he woke up on his own. But, I gave him to Rowdy and he fell back asleep. Rowdy gets up at 5:00. I try to start getting ready from 5:15 and 5:30 while he changes him and plays with him. Then I feed him and Rowdy gets ready. Oh, I make a pb&j sandwich the night before to eat at work for breakfast. In the morning, basically all I have to do is brush my teeth, put clothes on, straighten my hair and pack everything up. I play with him for a little bit and leave by 6:15 and drop him off at 6:30. I get to work at 7:00. Like I said, everything is working out perfect. Since she feeds him at 1:30, he's ready to eat when I get home by 4:30. But, after that, he wants to eat every 2 hours. I don't know why he goes longer between with the bottle. I think he may be bored at home. He likes story time over there. They keep him more occupied and wear him out so he takes better naps. I tried the same schedule for this weekend. But, it didn't work. He wasn't even waking up at the right time. But, that's OK. Hopefully he stays on schedule during the week. I want to go back to the chiropractor. But, tat will make him need another bottle before I pick him up.

I'm pumping 1-2 oz short of what he eats during the day. It may get even harder because I'm using my old boss' office right now. I'm even eating my lunch in there so I can pump the whole time. When they get a replacement, I will need to find another place. Either the bathroom (who wants to eat in there) or in the nursery. Either way, it will take more time to get there and that means less time to pump.

Things he did yesterday

I put him on his play mat. A little while later, Rowdy told me to look at him. He was turning himself around on it. Eventually, he made a 3/4 turn. In other words, he was not facing the same way I put him.

Another thing he did yesterday is smiled from ear to ear when I was talking to him. I guess he'll be laughing out loud soon. He didn't get the full smile on camera. But, this is a good pic anyway.

Oh, he's 10 weeks old now.
