Solids

He still likes his cereal. Right now he gets it in the morning. That means it is usually at daycare. She puts 1 oz formula to 3 tbsp cereal. I switch up what I send between oatmeal and rice. When I give it to him I use 4 tbsp formula.

So far we have given him sweet potatoes, carrots and squash. We were giving him his solids after his bath and before nursing and bed. He would scream from the time it was gone till I got him situated to nurse. Now I give it to him with the feeding before that. Here's a pic of him with sweet potatoes.

Growing

Look at the difference. I don't put him in it anymore. I just set him there for a couple of minutes while I went get something for his bath. Then I decided to take a pic.

First sleep over

Well, he did it. His first night away from home. Well, I slept at my Mom's too. But, it still counts. Mom was supossed to eep him the night before so we could go to a concert. But, Rowdy got sick and that didn't happen. So, Melanie and I decided to go see Chee Weez Saturday instead. Rowdy was working nights so he wouldn't be home anyway. I did his bath and all over there. He didn't fall asleep when I nursed him after. Melanie called at like 9:00 to say she was on her way. I went try to nurse him again and he ate a little bit. He was still up when I left at like 9:30. I drank 2 drinks on the way and was done by 10:00. I got back at 1:15 and he had just woken up and my Mom had a bottle ready. She said he fell asleep at 10:00. After the bottle he fell asleep at 2:00. I heard him at like 7:15. I knew I was OK to nurse by 5:30. They said he woke up at 6:30. She had already warmed up a bottle but I nursed him anyway. I went back to sleep and woke up at 9:45 and no one was home. I looked for a note but couldn't find one. I called Melanie and she said they go to church at 9:30. I looked outside and my car was gone. His diaper bag was gone too. Then I found a note that said they took him to church and for me to sleep well. I didn't mind them taking him. I just thought they went to church later and was just upset when I didn't see a note. He was sleeping when they got back. He woke up and I fed him. So, I never had to pump! He was in a good mood all day. So, all went well with his first sleep over. Maybe next time Mommy won't be in the same house. I just didn't see the point in going to Melanie's.

4 Month Appointment

His 4 month check up was a couple of weeks late because Dr. Brooke was on vacation. The appointment was on 8-7. He weighed 16 lbs 3oz and 26.5 inches long. We talked about when to start solids. Also his cough came back. He told me I could give him the medicine from before. He doesn't want to call it asthma. More like reactive airway disease. He said it is common and they usually grow out of it. He got shots and cried. But, not for too long after.

He was traveling. I don't know how he got there. But, I turned around and there he was, closer to Sponge Bob.

Now, Rowdy saw this happen. He told me to look and his arm was still stuck. But, he was almost there. I turned back around. Then 30 seconds later, he did it! Rowdy watched him do it. I'm glad he did it when he did because we will be missing Daddy starting tonight. I hope he doesn't miss out on too much.

Some Daddy time before we left for daycare. This is the morning of his first night at work. We had to say goodbye till Saturday. Then Sunday we have to say goodbye till Thursday. Mommy will be on her own.

He has definitely found his voice and has been doing a playful screaming thing for a couple of weeks. A couple of days ago, he started blowing raspberries.
